Troubleshooting

Emails not arriving

Sign-in links, invitations or notifications from ASDK don't arrive? Check spam and quarantine, the address, sending limits and company mail filters.

Last updated

On this page

ASDK sends a few kinds of email: sign-in links, invitations to workspaces, setup help in your first week, install instructions for your developer and, as the Inbox rolls out, lead notifications and the weekly report. When one doesn't arrive, the cause is almost always a filter on the receiving side. This page helps you find it.

Where ASDK's emails come from

Every email comes from ASDK, login@mail.asdk.com, sent through our email provider. The subject lines to look for:

EmailSubject
Sign-in link"Your ASDK sign-in link"
Invitation"… invited you to … on ASDK"
Install instructions"… asked you to install ASDK on …"
Setup helpFor example "Welcome to ASDK: your agent is a few steps away"

Search your mailbox, including spam and archive folders, for mail.asdk.com.

Quick checks

Wait a minute

Most emails arrive within seconds, but a busy mail server can take a minute or two.

Look in spam, promotions and quarantine

Gmail may file emails under Promotions or Spam. Company mail systems, such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace with extra filtering, may hold messages in a quarantine that only your IT team can see or release.

Check the address

On the sign-in page, the Check your email step shows the address the link went to. If it's mistyped, choose Use a different email. Invitations go to the exact address the inviter entered.

Send it again

Choose Send a new link on the sign-in page. It's available after a short wait, which the button counts down, to protect accounts from abuse. Use the newest email when several arrive: each sign-in link works once and expires after 15 minutes.

Company filters

If emails never arrive at your work address but do at a personal one, your company's mail filter is blocking or holding them. Ask your IT team to:

  • allow emails from the domain mail.asdk.com, or from the sender login@mail.asdk.com;
  • release any held ASDK messages from quarantine.

Some company filters also open the links in incoming emails to check them. If your sign-in links say "This sign-in link doesn't work anymore" every time you click them, that's a likely cause: ask IT to exclude app.asdk.com from link scanning, or sign in with Continue with Google if the sign-in page offers it. See Signing in.

Specific emails

You can't turn sign-in emails off, and unsubscribing from setup emails doesn't affect them. If your email system can't receive them at all, and Google sign-in isn't an option, write to hello@asdk.com from another address.

Invitations

  • Ask the person who invited you to check the address under Pending invitations on Settings → Members.
  • An invitation expires after 7 days. They can revoke it and send a new one.
  • You can only accept it while signed in with the invited address.

See Members and roles.

Install instructions

Email these instructions to my developer sends one email to one address, and replies go to you. If your developer can't find it, ask them to search for "asked you to install ASDK", or copy the snippet from the Install page and send it yourself.

Lead notifications and weekly reports

  • Lead emails and weekly reports go to owners and admins only. Members don't get them.
  • Each type has its own unsubscribe link. If you clicked it once, you won't get that type again until you switch it back on under Leads → Notifications → Your emails.
  • Lead emails can also be switched off for a whole site on that page (Email new leads to owners and admins).
  • A weekly report is sent only for weeks with conversations or leads.

See Notifications and Weekly report.

Setup emails

These are sent in your first week only. If you unsubscribed, you won't get them again; sign-in links and account emails still arrive.

Still nothing?

Write to hello@asdk.com with:

  • the address that should receive the emails;
  • which email is missing, and roughly when you expected it;
  • your Workspace ID, if you can sign in.

We can check whether the email was sent and whether your mail server accepted it.
