Answer repeat questions from your own content
Most support questions already have an answer somewhere on your site. ASDK finds it, answers with the page it came from and passes the rest to your team instead of guessing.
Sound familiar?
“We answer the same questions every week.”
Service intervals, returns, where the manual is. The answers are on the site; people just don’t find them.
“A bot that guesses is worse than no bot.”
One confident wrong answer about a warranty or a safety step costs more than the time it saved.
“We don’t know what people can’t find.”
The hints are spread across search logs and the support inbox, and nobody has time to read them.
From a repeat question to a better answer
Three moments on the site of Fabrikam, a fictional maker of industrial air compressors.
Answers come from your content, with sources
Agents read your pages, the files you upload and your Q&A pairs. Answers based on your pages list them, so visitors can check, and every reply comes in the visitor’s language.
When the answer isn’t there, it says so
The agent doesn’t fill gaps with a guess. It tells the visitor it couldn’t find the answer and offers the contact form, and your team gets the question by email or in Slack.
Every unanswered question becomes a to-do
Questions your agent couldn’t answer are grouped by meaning and counted. Choose Add an answer, write it once, and agents use it within seconds.
Every Monday, the weekly report email lists the three questions your agent couldn’t answer most often. On Pro and up, the What visitors ask report adds top questions, the pages answers cite most and answers visitors rated down.
What to set up
Start with what you already have: your site, your manuals and the answers your team keeps typing.
Add your site and sitemap
ASDK reads your pages and keeps them in sync. Skip the sections that shouldn’t answer questions.
Upload what isn’t on the site
Manuals, spec sheets and policies as PDF, Word, Markdown, CSV, HTML or text files, up to 20 MB each.
Write the answers that must be exact
Q&A pairs for warranty terms, return rules and lead times. Agents prefer them over your pages.
Decide where questions go
Offer the contact form when the agent can’t answer, and send new leads to email or a Slack channel.
Where it stops
No live chat takeover
Your team can’t reply inside the widget or from the Inbox. They follow up by email or phone with the details visitors leave.
It doesn’t look up orders or accounts
Answers come from your published content and what you add. It can’t check an order status, a ticket or a customer record.
No built-in help desk connection
To open tickets automatically, send new leads and unanswered questions to your help desk through webhooks, from Starter and up.
The full report comes with Pro
The list of unanswered questions is on every plan. Top questions, most-cited pages and rated-down answers come with Pro and up.

What if it gives a wrong answer?
Answers show the pages they came from, so you can see where a wrong one started. Fix or exclude that page, or add a Q&A pair with the right answer; agents prefer Q&A pairs over pages.
Can it answer from PDFs and manuals?
Yes. Upload PDF, Word (.docx), Markdown, CSV, HTML or text files up to 20 MB each. Older .doc files and spreadsheets need to be saved as PDF, .docx or CSV first.
Can visitors reach a person?
Yes. When the agent can’t answer, or a visitor asks for a person, it offers a short contact form. Your team gets the lead by email or in Slack and replies by email or phone.
Does it answer in other languages?
It replies in the language the visitor writes in, from your content, even if your site is in one language. The widget’s buttons and labels come in eight languages.
Does it replace our site search?
Not yet. ASDK Search, which answers right in your search box, is coming soon. Today visitors ask in the chat widget.
