Install ASDK on Shopify
Add the ASDK widget to a Shopify store by pasting one script tag into your theme's theme.liquid layout file, then save and check that it works.

On Shopify, the snippet goes into your theme's main layout file, theme.liquid, which every page of the store uses.
Add the snippet to your theme
Open the code editor
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes. Next to your current theme, click the … button and choose Edit code.
Open theme.liquid
In the Layout folder on the left, click theme.liquid.
Paste the snippet before the closing body tag
Search the file for </body> (Ctrl+F or Cmd+F) and paste your snippet from the dashboard's Install page on the line just above it:

</body>Leave the code around it as it is. Click Save.
Check
Open your store in a browser, look for the chat button, then click Check installation on the dashboard.
Things to know
- Shopify lets you edit the code of a paid theme only after you buy it; a theme you are still trying out can't be edited.
- When you update your theme, Shopify can drop your code changes in the updated copy. Check the installation again after every theme update.
- The checkout pages use their own layout, so the widget does not appear there.
