One script, on any website

Paste one tag into your site's footer or your tag manager. It runs every agent you switch on, now and later, so you install it once and change the rest in the dashboard.

Example. Northwind Logistics is a fictional company.

Works wherever you can add a script

Any page you can edit, every website builder with a custom code setting, and every tag manager. The guides show where the tag goes on each platform.

Where the snippet goes on each platform
PlatformWhere the snippet goesGuide
HTMLBefore the closing body tag of every page, or once in a shared layout.Guide
Google Tag ManagerA Custom HTML tag that fires on all pages.Guide
WordPressThe footer box of a header and footer plugin such as WPCode.Guide
ShopifyYour theme's layout file, theme.liquid.Guide
WebflowSite settings, Custom code, Footer code.Guide
WixSettings, Custom Code, on all pages at the end of the body.Guide
SquarespaceThe Footer field of Code Injection.Guide
FramerSite settings, Custom code, at the end of the body.Guide
Next.jsnext/script in the root layout, or index.html in a React app.Guide

One-click plugins are on the way: the WordPress plugin and the Tag Manager template are coming soon to their directories, and plugins for Shopify, Webflow, Wix and Framer are planned. Until then the tag works everywhere.

The same tag, in your stack's terms

Plain HTML takes the tag as it is. Tag managers can't set data attributes on the scripts they add, so the site ID moves into window.asdkConfig.

  • Single-page appsLoad it once in the root layout. The widget follows client-side navigation by itself and counts each page view.
  • Options on the tagdata-position and data-locale override the dashboard for that page.

Check the install in one click

Check installation opens your home page, and one more page if you name it, looks for the tag with your site ID and reads your Content Security Policy. The widget also reports itself when it loads, so an install through a tag manager counts as soon as anyone opens a page.

  • A result that says what to changeInstalled, wrong Site ID, snippet not found, blocked by your Content Security Policy, or site unreachable, each with the fix.

Troubleshooting guide

Example. Northwind Logistics is a fictional company.

Not your job? Send it to your developer

Pick the platform and enter your developer's email. ASDK sends one email with the snippet and the steps for that platform. Replies come to you, and the address isn't added to any list.

Example. Northwind Logistics is a fictional company.

Light on your page

The tag loads asynchronously, so it never holds up your page. The loader stays under 6 KB compressed, a build check makes sure of it, and the chat panel loads only when a visitor opens it.

  • No cookiesThe widget keeps a visitor ID in the browser's local storage, not in a cookie.
  • Isolated from your CSSIt runs in its own part of the page, so your styles don't change it and its styles don't leak into your site.

Questions, answered

Something else? Write to hello@asdk.com

Do I need a developer?

Usually not. If you can paste text into your website builder's custom code setting or your tag manager, you can install ASDK. If someone else runs your site, send them the instructions from the dashboard.

Where do I find my site ID?

On the dashboard's Install page: the snippet there already contains it. It starts with site_ and isn't a secret, but it must match the site you set up in ASDK.

Will it slow down my site?

No. The tag loads asynchronously and the loader is small. The chat panel loads only when a visitor opens it.

My site has a Content Security Policy. What do I add?

Allow scripts from https://cdn.asdk.com and connections to https://api.asdk.com. The install check tells you when the policy blocks the widget.

Is there a WordPress plugin?

The ASDK plugin is coming soon to the WordPress.org plugin directory. Until then, a header and footer plugin such as WPCode adds the same tag and loads the same widget.

Do I need to install it again when I switch on another agent?

No. The same tag loads every agent you switch on in the dashboard.
