Deleting a workspace
Only an owner can delete a workspace: Settings → Data → Delete workspace, then type the workspace's name to confirm. At that moment:
- everyone loses access to the workspace, and it leaves their workspace list;
- its API keys stop working and pending invitations are withdrawn;
- its sites are paused, so the widget stops answering on them;
- scheduled re-syncs of its knowledge stop, and qualified leads are no longer sent to your CRM or webhooks.
For 30 days after the deletion, ASDK support can restore the workspace if an owner asks: email us from the address you sign in with. Members, API keys and sites come back as they were; invitations have to be sent again.
After 30 days the workspace is deleted for good: its sites, their knowledge base (pages, uploaded files and the search index built from them), conversations, leads, analytics and settings. Copies in our encrypted backups expire within a further 30 days. Before you delete a workspace, export what you want to keep, such as leads (the Leads page exports them as a CSV file).
Deleting your account
Settings → Data → Delete your account deletes your sign-in, your sessions and your membership in every workspace. Type the email address you sign in with to confirm. What you added to workspaces, such as sites and answers, stays with them without your name.
You cannot delete your account while you own a workspace: delete those workspaces first, or ask ASDK support to hand them to someone else. When you delete your last workspace, the dashboard offers to delete your account right away. Once your account is gone, support can no longer restore a workspace you were the only owner of.
