Plans
What happens at a limit
What visitors and your team see when a workspace reaches its monthly answers, pages, sites or other limits, and how to get back under the limit or raise it.

Limits never delete your content or switch your widget off without warning. This page explains, limit by limit, what happens when you reach one and what you can do about it.
Monthly answers
Answer limits are soft: your agents don't stop the moment you reach your plan's number.
| Usage this month | What happens |
|---|---|
| Below 100% | Agents answer as usual. |
| 100% of your plan's answers | We let workspace owners know by email. Agents keep answering. |
| 110% | Agents stop writing new answers until the month ends or the limit is raised. |
At 110%, a visitor who asks a question gets this reply instead of an answer, in their language: "Thanks for your question! I can't answer more questions right now. Leave your email and the team will get back to you." The contact form opens with it, so questions still reach you as leads. These replies don't count as answers.
For example, a Starter workspace has 1,000 answers a month. Agents keep answering until the 1,100th answer and pause after that, until the count starts again on the first of the next month.
What you can do
- Raise the limit: move to a bigger plan, or add a pack of 1,000 answers. During early access, write to hello@asdk.com with your Workspace ID; see Plans and limits.
- Wait for the new month: answering resumes automatically.
- Use fewer answers next month: fix the knowledge gaps that make visitors ask the same question several times. See What counts as an answer.
Pages in your knowledge
When your workspace's knowledge reaches the plan's page limit:
- pages already in your knowledge stay, and are kept up to date;
- new pages are skipped, with "Page limit of your plan reached" on the source and on each skipped page;
- agents keep answering from everything in your knowledge.
Make room by excluding pages you don't need, or raise the limit. Page limits explains both.
Sites
When a workspace has as many sites as its plan includes, Add a site on the Sites page is turned off. Delete a site you no longer need, add an extra site, or move to a plan with more sites. Existing sites keep working.
Agents your plan doesn't include
The Agents page shows which plan each agent needs, such as "Pro plan". An agent your plan doesn't include can't be switched on. If it was switched on before, for example during a trial, it stays switched on in your settings but visitors don't see it, and the page says "Switched on, but your plan doesn't include it: visitors don't see it." It comes back as soon as your plan includes it.
Team seats
Each plan includes a number of team seats: from one on the Free plan to 25 on the Agency plan. If you need more people in a workspace than your plan includes, move to a bigger plan.
Other limits
A few limits are the same on every plan. They exist to keep ASDK fast and fair, and few sites reach them.
| Limit | Value | When you reach it |
|---|---|---|
| Sources per site | 100, plus Q&A pairs | Delete a source you no longer need |
| Q&A pairs per site | 2,000 | Merge similar pairs, or move longer answers to a text snippet |
| File size | 20 MB | Split the file, or export it without large images |
| Text snippet length | 50,000 characters | Split it into several snippets |
| Skip patterns per source | 50 | Combine pages into one pattern, such as /blog/** |
| Allowed domains per site | 100 | Use a wildcard such as *.example.com |
| Active API keys per workspace | 25 | Revoke keys that are no longer used |
| Workspaces you own | 20 | Write to us if you need more |
Too many messages at once
To protect your sites from abuse, the widget limits how fast one visitor can send messages. A visitor who sends many messages in a short time sees "Too many messages right now. Please wait a moment and try again." and can continue after a short pause. Normal conversations never reach this limit.
After you upgrade
A bigger plan applies immediately:
- agents start answering again if the answer limit had paused them;
- skipped pages are added at the next sync, or right away with Read again;
- agents the new plan includes can be switched on on the Agents page.
