Getting started

Choosing agents

Which ASDK agents to switch on for your site: what Chat, Sales and Agent-Ready do today, which plan includes each, and how to turn agents on or off.

On this page

ASDK has six agents. Three work today in early access, and three are coming soon. They all answer from the same knowledge, so you can start with one and add another later without setting anything up again. This page helps you decide which to switch on.

"Early access" means the agent works and you can use it, but it may change while we improve it. "Coming soon" means it isn't available yet: the Agents page shows it greyed out with a "Coming soon" label.

Start with Chat

Chat is the agent most sites start with. It answers questions in the widget from your pages and files, shows the pages each answer came from and, when it can't help, offers a form so the visitor can leave contact details.

Chat fits when:

  • visitors ask the same questions again and again: pricing, delivery, integrations, opening hours;
  • your team answers questions by email that your website already answers;
  • you want to know what visitors ask, so you can improve your pages.

Add Agent-Ready

Agent-Ready doesn't show a button. It works for AI assistants rather than people: buyers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude to research vendors, and those assistants read your site the way a crawler does. Agent-Ready publishes what your knowledge base knows in formats such assistants read well, such as a hosted llms.txt file. On the Pro plan and above it also shows which AI agents visit your site.

It is switched on for every new site and included from the Free plan, so there is usually no reason to turn it off. To see how readable your site is for AI agents today, run the free agent readiness checker.

Add Sales when visitors are ready to buy

Sales builds on Chat. It asks the questions your team would ask before a call, books a meeting in your calendar when a visitor is a good fit, and sends the lead to your team and, through webhooks and Zapier or Make, to your CRM. It is included from the Pro plan.

Sales fits when:

  • your site's goal is a demo, a call or a quote request;
  • your team spends time on calls with people who were never a fit;
  • leads sit in an inbox for hours before anyone replies.

The Sales agent page describes what it does. The glossary explains lead qualification.

Switch agents on or off

Open the Agents page

In the dashboard, open Agents. If your workspace has more than one site, pick the site at the top: the settings apply to one site at a time.

Use the switch next to each agent

Each agent has a switch, its status and, if your plan doesn't include it, the plan it needs, such as "Pro plan". Agents marked "Coming soon" can't be switched on yet.

Save

Choose Save changes at the bottom. Visitors see the new setup on the next page view; you don't need to change the script on your site.

Only owners and admins can change these settings. Members see them read-only.

What visitors see

The agents a visitor gets are the ones you switched on that your plan includes and that are available. If you switch on an agent and later move to a plan without it, the Agents page says "Switched on, but your plan doesn't include it: visitors don't see it." Your choice is kept, so the agent comes back if you upgrade.

If you switch off every agent that shows a button, the chat button disappears from your site. Agent-Ready keeps working without it.
