The full comparison

On this page

Tidio and ASDK both help a website answer visitors around the clock, but they start from different places. Tidio is a customer service suite: live chat, a ticketing helpdesk, an AI agent called Lyro, and Flows automation, priced mainly by conversations. ASDK is a set of AI agents for the website itself: one script and one knowledge base, with agents for answers, sales qualification and AI-agent readiness, priced by answers.

Who each product is for

Tidio suits small and mid-size businesses, and ecommerce stores in particular, that want human live chat and an AI agent in one inbox. Self-serve plans include up to 10 seats, ticketing, live visitor lists and, on Growth, features such as macros and native Shopify actions. Lyro answers from your support content, hands conversations to people, and can also be added to other helpdesks such as Zendesk or Salesforce (Tidio Lyro). Tidio says Lyro runs on Anthropic's Claude together with its own models.

ASDK suits B2B companies that want AI to handle the website conversation end to end and don't need a live-chat team in the loop for every chat. Its Chat agent answers from your pages and cites them; its Sales agent qualifies visitors and books meetings; its Agent-Ready agent helps AI assistants and agentic browsers read your site. All plans have published prices, starting with a free plan.

Pricing

Tidio

Tidio prices its helpdesk by billable conversations: a conversation counts when a human agent replies in it or starts it, and answers from Lyro or Flows do not count as agent replies. Lyro has a separate quota of Lyro conversations, counted when Lyro first responds in a new conversation (Tidio pricing).

Add-ons, also sold on their own:

  • Lyro AI Agent: from $39 per month billed monthly, or $32.50 per month billed annually, for 50 Lyro conversations. The quota can be raised to 1,000 conversations, which costs $700 per month on monthly billing. Every account's first 50 Lyro conversations are free, once.
  • Flows: from $29 per month billed monthly, or $24.17 per month billed annually, for 2,000 visitors reached.
  • Branding removal on Growth: listed at $16.67 per month on annual billing.

Starter also includes 50 Lyro conversations one-off and 100 Flows visitors. Premium adds pay-per-resolution billing and, per Tidio, a guaranteed 50% Lyro resolution rate.

Comparing the two

The units differ, so compare on your own volume. Tidio's AI cost is set by the Lyro quota you buy, and its helpdesk cost by how many conversations your team replies to. ASDK's cost is set by AI answers per month, and there is no human-chat volume to pay for because ASDK has no live-chat inbox. A team that mostly wants AI answers on a B2B site, with sales follow-up by email or a booked meeting, will usually find the ASDK model simpler. A team that wants people chatting with visitors alongside AI will find Tidio covers more.

Setup and upkeep

Tidio: Lyro is added to the website in a few clicks and builds its knowledge base by scraping your support content; it can also use uploaded FAQs, and Growth can import Zendesk help articles. When a question falls outside that knowledge, Lyro creates a ticket so a person can answer. Tidio's advice for keeping Lyro accurate is to review conversations and add missing knowledge over time (Tidio Lyro). Your team also runs the live chat and ticket inbox day to day.

ASDK: you add one script to your site, ASDK indexes your pages up to your plan's page limit, and you switch agents on in the dashboard. Answers link to the pages they came from, so a wrong answer points straight at the page to fix. From Pro, the "What visitors ask" insights report groups the questions visitors ask, which shows where your content has gaps.

Choose Tidio if…

  • You want human agents to chat with visitors in real time, with AI taking the first reply.
  • You need a shared helpdesk for chat, email and social conversations.
  • You run an online store and want native Shopify actions.
  • You already use Zendesk or Salesforce and want an AI agent on top of it.
  • You want proactive, rule-based Flows for quote requests and data collection today.
  • You want a product that is generally available today.

Choose ASDK if…

  • You want AI to answer website visitors from your own pages, with a source link on every answer, starting on a free plan.
  • You want sales qualification and meeting booking from the same knowledge base. ASDK's Sales agent is in early access.
  • You want AI assistants and agents to read your site well: hosted llms.txt and, from Pro, analytics on AI-agent visits.
  • You prefer one predictable unit (answers) over separate quotas for human conversations, AI conversations and automated visitors.
  • You run several sites; Pro covers three and Business ten.

How to decide

Start with one question: who should answer your visitors? If the answer is "our team, with AI helping", Tidio is built around that. If the answer is "AI first, with sales following up on qualified leads", ASDK fits better. In both cases, test with 20 real questions from your inbox and check whether each answer matches your pages.

Is Tidio's Lyro AI agent included in the paid plans?

Partly. Every account gets its first 50 Lyro conversations free, once, and Starter includes 50 Lyro conversations one-off. For ongoing use, Lyro is a separate add-on that starts at $39 a month billed monthly, or $32.50 a month billed annually, for 50 conversations.

What is a billable conversation on Tidio?

Tidio counts a billable conversation when a human agent replies in, or starts, a live chat, ticket, email or social conversation. Replies from Lyro and Flows do not count as agent replies; Lyro has its own conversation quota.

Does ASDK include live chat with human agents?

No live-chat inbox is listed in ASDK's plans today. ASDK's Chat agent answers from your pages and captures contact details for follow-up. If your team wants to chat with visitors in real time, Tidio covers that.

Is ASDK generally available?

Not yet. ASDK is in early access: Chat, Sales and Agent-Ready are in early access, and Search, Forms and Voice are coming soon.

Example. Northwind Logistics is a fictional company.
