The full comparison

On this page

Intercom Fin and ASDK both answer customers with AI grounded in your own content, but they are built for different jobs. Fin is a customer service agent that works across chat, email, voice and other channels, either inside the Intercom helpdesk or on top of the helpdesk you already have, and it is priced per successful outcome. ASDK is a set of AI agents for your website, one script and one knowledge base, priced by plan with a monthly number of answers.

Who each product is for

Intercom Fin suits support organizations with real conversation volume across several channels. Intercom describes Fin working natively across voice, chat, email, Slack and social channels, in dozens of languages, and taking actions in other systems through APIs, data connectors or MCP. Fin works inside Intercom's own helpdesk or alongside another one; Intercom names Salesforce, Zendesk, HubSpot and Freshdesk (Fin). It also positions Fin for sales, ecommerce and customer success, not only support.

ASDK suits B2B companies whose website is where most buyers and customers first ask questions, and who want one tool to answer them, qualify sales leads and make the site readable for AI agents. Plans are self-serve with published prices, including a free plan, and you don't need a helpdesk to use it.

Pricing

Intercom Fin

As published on October 20, 2026 (Fin pricing; Intercom pricing):

  • Fin AI Agent: $0.99 per outcome. An outcome is counted when the customer confirms the issue is resolved, doesn't ask for more help after Fin responds, or Fin completes a workflow (Procedure), including handoffs. For sales, a disqualified lead or a visitor routed to self-serve also counts as a $0.99 outcome, while a qualification, when Fin qualifies a lead against your criteria and routes it to sales, costs $9.99. Intercom charges at most once per conversation, refunds the outcome if the conversation is reopened, and says you pay nothing if Fin can't answer or the customer asks for a human at any point. Spending limits and alerts are available.
  • Fin with your existing helpdesk: $0.99 per outcome, no seats, no setup or platform fees, with a minimum monthly commitment ("e.g. 50 outcomes").
  • Fin with the Intercom helpdesk, billed annually, plus outcomes:
Intercom planPrice per seat, billed annually
Essential$29/month, shown at $19/month for new customers ("save 35%")
Advanced$85/month, includes 20 free Lite seats
Expert$132/month, includes 50 free Lite seats

There is a one full seat minimum, and monthly self-serve billing is available for Essential and Advanced. Add-ons include Copilot at $29 per agent per month billed annually or $35 billed monthly, Pro from $100 per month, and Proactive Support Plus at $99 per month. Fin Voice is available through sales at $1.99 per voice outcome.

Intercom's own calculator shows the logic: at 200 conversations a month and an average resolution rate, it estimates 152 outcomes at $0.99 ($150.48) plus one $19 seat, for $169.48 a month.

Comparing the two

Per-outcome pricing ties cost to results: you pay when Fin resolves something, and nothing when it fails. That is attractive when volume is high and resolutions are what you are buying. ASDK's plans fix the monthly price for a volume of answers, which is easier to budget for a website where many conversations are pre-sales questions rather than support tickets, and where the goal may be a booked meeting or a captured lead rather than a "resolution". Estimate both with your real monthly conversation count before deciding.

Setup and upkeep

Intercom Fin: Intercom says Fin can be set up in under an hour on an existing helpdesk, and that tone, behavior and knowledge are configured by the support team without engineering resources (Intercom pricing; Fin). More complex work, such as refunds or account changes, is built as Procedures connected to your systems. The optional Pro add-on, from $100 per month, adds tools to analyze Fin's performance, monitor quality and find improvements.

ASDK: you add one script to your site, ASDK indexes your pages up to your plan's page limit, and you switch agents on in the dashboard. Answers link to the pages they came from, so a wrong answer points straight at the page to fix. From Pro, the "What visitors ask" insights report groups the questions visitors ask, which shows where your content has gaps.

Choose Intercom Fin if…

  • You run a support team that handles conversations across email, chat, voice and social channels.
  • You already use Intercom, Zendesk, Salesforce, HubSpot or Freshdesk as your helpdesk and want AI on top of it.
  • You want Fin to take actions in your systems, such as refunds or account updates, through Procedures and APIs.
  • You prefer paying per resolved outcome over a fixed monthly allowance.
  • You want a product that is generally available today.

Choose ASDK if…

  • Your website is the main place customers and buyers ask questions, and you don't need a full helpdesk.
  • You want the same knowledge base to answer, qualify sales leads and book meetings. ASDK's Sales agent is in early access.
  • You want a fixed monthly price with a free plan to start, instead of a per-outcome bill plus seats.
  • You want every answer to cite the page it came from, and you care how AI assistants and agents read your site.
  • You manage several websites; Pro covers three sites and Business ten.

How to decide

If your support runs through a helpdesk and spans several channels, Fin is designed for that, and its outcome pricing rewards high resolution rates. If your priority is the website conversation, from first question to qualified lead, ASDK is designed for that, with a fixed plan price whether visitors are buyers or customers. Run 20 real questions through each on your own content and compare the answers, not the demos.
