The full comparison

On this page

SiteGPT and ASDK both put an AI assistant on your website that is trained on your own content. SiteGPT is a support chatbot: you point it at your site and documents, embed it, and let your team take over when a visitor asks for a person. ASDK is a set of website agents sharing one knowledge base, covering support answers, sales qualification and readiness for AI agents.

Who each product is for

SiteGPT suits businesses that want to take repetitive support questions off their team. Its home page pitches it as "like having ChatGPT specifically for your product" and promises to "Instantly answer your visitors' questions with a personalized chatbot trained on your website content" (SiteGPT). You can train it on a site URL or sitemap, YouTube videos, files such as PDF, DOCX and CSV, raw text, and connectors for Notion, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box and GitHub. It collects visitors' contact details as leads, supports 95+ languages, and sends a weekly digest of questions it could not answer. A chatbot can be embedded on as many sites as you want.

ASDK suits B2B companies whose website does both support and selling. You add one script and switch on agents for specific jobs: Chat answers visitors from your pages and captures contacts, Sales qualifies visitors and books meetings, and Agent-Ready makes the site easier for AI assistants and agents to read.

Comparing the two

At the entry level, SiteGPT Starter is about $39 a month billed yearly for up to 4,000 messages on the smaller model, and ASDK Starter is $31 a month billed annually for 1,000 answers. Message and answer counts are not the same unit, and SiteGPT's count depends on which model you use, so estimate your own monthly volume on both. If you want the chat unbranded, add $468 a year to any SiteGPT plan; on ASDK, branding is removed from Pro.

Setup and upkeep

SiteGPT: you create a chatbot, add your site or sitemap plus any files and connectors, and paste the embed code. SiteGPT says training is usually done within a few minutes. On Starter you refresh content manually; Growth refreshes monthly, Scale weekly with a daily sitemap scan, and Enterprise daily. The weekly digest of unanswered questions shows what to add.

ASDK: you add one script to your site, ASDK indexes your pages up to your plan's page limit, and you switch agents on in the dashboard. Answers link to the pages they came from, so a wrong answer points straight at the page to fix. From Pro, the "What visitors ask" insights report groups visitors' questions, which shows where your content has gaps.

Choose SiteGPT if…

  • You mainly want to deflect support questions, and your team wants to take over chats from a phone app.
  • Your knowledge also lives in Notion, Google Drive, GitHub or other connected tools.
  • You want to add WhatsApp or AI email support from the same vendor.
  • You hand complex chats to Zendesk.
  • You need HIPAA eligibility with a BAA, on the Enterprise plan.
  • You want a product that is generally available today.

Choose ASDK if…

  • Your website does selling as well as support, and you want visitors qualified and booked into meetings. ASDK's Sales agent is in early access.
  • You want answers that cite your own pages on every plan, so visitors can check them. See grounding.
  • You want to start on a free plan or a trial without a card.
  • You care how ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and other agents read your site.
  • You want an unbranded widget included in the plan, from Pro.

How to decide

Decide first whether the assistant's job is support only, or support and sales. For support only, both fit, and the choice comes down to channels, takeover and price at your volume. If the same visitors are also buyers, ASDK is built to answer them first and then qualify them.

Then test both on the same content with 20 real questions from your inbox. Score each answer as correct, correct with a source link, wrong, or "I don't know", and count a confident wrong answer as the worst result.

Does SiteGPT have a free plan?

No. As of October 21, 2026, every self-serve SiteGPT plan has a 7-day free trial that requires a credit card. ASDK has a Free plan with 50 answers a month and a 14-day trial of Business-plan agents that needs no card.

Can I remove the branding?

On SiteGPT, branding removal is an add-on, listed at $468 a year, and is not included in any plan. On ASDK, the badge is removed on the Pro plan and above.

Can a person take over a SiteGPT chat?
