CustomGPT.ai and ASDK both build AI assistants that answer from your own content and show where each answer came from. CustomGPT.ai is a no-code platform for creating several knowledge assistants from large and varied document collections, deployed on a website, as live chat or through an API. ASDK is focused on the website: one script, one knowledge base built from your site, and agents for support, sales and AI-agent readiness.
Who each product is for
CustomGPT.ai describes itself as "Easy to deploy governed AI assistants for the enterprise" and as "anything that you can do with ChatGPT but with your data" (CustomGPT.ai). It suits organizations with a lot of knowledge in many forms: websites and sitemaps, PDFs and Office files, help desks, Google Drive, Notion, YouTube videos and audio. Its pricing page lists more than 1,400 document formats and 90+ languages. Plans include several agents, so one account can run separate assistants for, say, customer support, member questions and internal staff. Every answer links to its source, and the company says it never uses customer data to train models.
ASDK suits B2B companies whose website is where buyers arrive. Instead of building assistants from many sources, you connect your site and switch on agents for specific jobs: Chat answers visitors and captures contacts, Sales qualifies visitors and books meetings, and Agent-Ready makes the site easier for AI assistants and agents to read.

Standard includes 60 million words of storage and Premium 300 million. Add-ons on both plans: 2,500 extra queries a month for $375, 300 million more words of storage for $300 a month, 25 extra agents for $100 a month and 5 extra seats for $100 a month. When a limit is reached, indexing or responding stops.
The 7-day trial gives full access to Standard or Premium, needs a credit card, and charges the chosen plan automatically when it ends unless you cancel. Nonprofits and schools get 20% off annual plans.

Extra answers cost $10 per 1,000. The 14-day trial includes the Business plan's agents with 500 answers and needs no card; afterwards the account moves to the Free plan unless you choose a paid one. See pricing.
Comparing the two
At the same monthly volume, ASDK costs less: 1,000 answers is $31 a month on ASDK Starter and 1,000 queries is $89 a month on CustomGPT.ai Standard, both billed annually; 5,000 is $103 on ASDK Pro against $449 on CustomGPT.ai Premium. CustomGPT.ai's price buys more: ten or more agents, very large document limits, many source types and an API on every plan. If you need those, the comparison is not about price.
Setup and upkeep
CustomGPT.ai: you create an agent, add sources such as a sitemap, files or a connected tool, and embed it with a widget, as live chat or through the API. Automatic re-syncing of sources starts on Premium, so on Standard you refresh content yourself when it changes. Separate agents can hold separate knowledge, which helps keep internal and public answers apart.
ASDK: you add one script to your site, ASDK indexes your pages up to your plan's page limit, and you switch agents on in the dashboard. Answers link to the pages they came from, so a wrong answer points straight at the page to fix. From Pro, the "What visitors ask" insights report groups visitors' questions, which shows where your content has gaps.

Yes. CustomGPT.ai lists citations and sources on every plan, and ASDK's answers cite your pages on every plan, including Free.
Which one handles more content?
