Agents that work with Calendly
Every agent answers from the same knowledge base about your website. Statuses come from the ASDK catalog: early-access agents work today, coming-soon agents do not yet.
How it works with Calendly
On this page
When a visitor on your website decides they want to talk to you, the worst answer is "fill in this form and we will get back to you". If you already use Calendly to book calls, ASDK's agents can hand those visitors your booking page at the right moment in the conversation, so they pick a time while they are still on your site. Nothing about your Calendly setup changes: ASDK only needs the link.
What ASDK and Calendly do together
ASDK's agents answer visitors from your own website content. Two of them work with your booking page:
- Chat (early access, from the Free plan) answers questions from your pages. With meeting booking (from the Pro plan), when a visitor asks to book a call, a demo or a consultation, it answers and shows a button that opens your Calendly booking page.
- Sales (early access, from the Pro plan) goes further. It asks the qualifying questions you write in plain language, one at a time, and offers the booking page to visitors who fit your rules. Visitors who do not fit get a useful next step instead, such as a guide or your self-serve plan.
Meeting booking is part of the Pro plan and above. The visitor books in Calendly as usual, with the availability, invites and reminders you have set up there.
An example conversation
Picture a consultancy that sells process audits to mid-size companies. A visitor on the services page asks: "How long does an audit take, and could we talk this week?"
The agent first answers the question from the services page: a typical audit takes four to six weeks, with a link to that page. Then, because the visitor asked to talk, it asks one of the consultancy's qualifying questions, such as the size of the operations team. The answer fits the consultancy's rules, so the agent offers the booking button. The visitor picks a slot on Thursday in the Calendly page that opens, and the consultant gets the usual Calendly invite.
If the visitor had asked for a call without any sign of fit, they would still get the booking button, because they asked for it. Qualification decides when the Sales agent offers a meeting on its own initiative, not whether a visitor who asks may book.
Set up Calendly with ASDK
Pick or create an event type
In Calendly, choose the meeting type you want website visitors to book, or create one just for them, for example "Intro call from the website". A separate event type keeps these meetings easy to find and report on.
Copy the event link
On Calendly's Scheduling page, use Copy Link on that event type. The link looks like https://calendly.com/your-name/intro-call.
Add the link to ASDK
Paste the link into your booking settings in the ASDK dashboard, and give the button a short label such as "Book a call". The link must start with https://.
Test it
Open your website, ask the chat to book a call and click the button. Check that the right event type opens, then book a test meeting and cancel it.
Calendly details worth knowing
- Prefilled details. Calendly can fill in an invitee's name and email from parameters in the link, such as
nameandemail, on all plans, according to Calendly's guide to pre-filling invitee information (checked October 2026). That is useful for links you place on your own pages. In ASDK, the booking button opens the link you saved. - Questions on the booking page. Calendly lets you ask invitees questions when they book. Keep them short: the agent has often asked the important ones already, and visitors do not like answering twice.
- Availability stays in Calendly. Buffers, minimum notice and daily limits are set on the event type in Calendly, and they apply to bookings that start in a website chat like to any other booking.
Deciding which meetings to offer
Before you paste a link, decide what a website visitor should be able to book. A few questions help:
- Who takes these meetings? If one person handles every first call, one booking link is enough. If it depends on region, product or company size, decide the rules first; the Sales agent's qualifying questions can then collect what you need to route the visitor.
- What is the meeting for? A 20-minute intro call, a 45-minute demo and a paid consultation are different promises. Offer the one that matches what visitors usually ask for, and describe it on the booking page.
- Who should not book a sales call? Existing customers with a support question, job seekers and students usually need something else. Make sure your website says where they should go, so the agent can point them there.
Write the answers down in your qualifying rules, and the agent will follow them in every conversation, including the ones at night and on weekends.
What is available and what is coming soon
| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| Booking button that opens your Calendly page when a visitor asks | Available in early access, from the Pro plan |
| Sales agent offering the booking page to visitors who fit | Early access, from the Pro plan |
| Lead with the conversation sent to HubSpot or Pipedrive | Coming soon |
| Lead sent to any tool through a webhook | Available in early access, from the Starter plan |
ASDK as a whole is in early access: the agents work and you can use them, but they may change while we improve them.
Getting more booked meetings, not just more clicks
A booking button helps only if the visitor trusts what comes before it. A few habits make the difference:
- Answer first, then offer. Visitors who get a straight answer to their question are more likely to book. The agents are built to answer before they ask anything.
- Ask few qualifying questions. Two or three questions that actually decide who gets a meeting are enough. Our guide to qualifying inbound leads with AI shows how to write them.
- Make the meeting worth it. Describe on the event type what the call covers and how long it takes. A clear purpose reduces no-shows.
- Follow up fast when nobody books. A visitor who left their email but no booking still wants an answer. Our guide to speed to lead explains why the first hour matters.

How does ASDK work with Calendly?
You add your Calendly event link to ASDK. When a visitor asks to book a call or a demo, the agent answers and shows a button that opens your Calendly booking page. With the Sales agent, it also offers the link to visitors who fit your rules.
Do I need to connect my Calendly account to ASDK?
No. ASDK only needs the link to your event's booking page. Your availability, reminders and calendar sync stay in Calendly, set up as they are today.
Which Calendly link should I use?
The event link of the meeting type you want visitors to book, copied from Calendly's Scheduling page. A dedicated event type for website visitors makes those meetings easy to spot and report on.
Which ASDK plan includes meeting booking?
Meeting booking is part of the Pro plan and above, together with the Sales agent. ASDK is in early access, so details may change while we improve it.
