AI agents for education and training providers
How training companies, course providers and schools can use AI agents to answer enrollment questions, suggest courses and book calls with an advisor.
What visitors ask
Questions visitors bring to websites in this industry. An agent answers them from your own pages and cites them, and offers to take the visitor’s contact details when a person should answer.
- Which course should I take if I'm new to project management?
- When does the next cohort start, and is it online or in person?
- How much does the certification course cost, and is there a payment plan?
- Do you offer group pricing for a team of 12?
- Will this course prepare me for the PMP exam?
- Is the certificate accredited?
- What's your refund policy if I can't finish?
- Will I get a job after the bootcamp?
- Can my employer pay the invoice directly?
- Are there any prerequisites?
- How many hours a week should I plan for?
- Are classes recorded if I miss one?

The guide
On this page
A training provider's website answers the same questions every day: which course is right for me, when does it start, what does it cost, is it accredited, can my company pay. Some visitors are individuals deciding whether to invest their evenings for three months; others are learning and development managers buying training for a whole team. An AI agent can answer from your catalog and policy pages at any hour, suggest the right course and book a call with an advisor. Its limits are about promises: what a course will do for a learner's exam results, job or salary.
Who visits an education or training website
- Individual learners. Career changers and people upskilling: course fit, prerequisites, schedule, format, price, payment plans, what the certificate is worth.
- Employers and L&D managers. Team training on a topic, group pricing, private cohorts, on-site or live online delivery, invoicing and reporting.
- Parents and students, for schools and youth programs: admissions steps, fees, schedules and policies.
- Current learners. Platform access, certificates, deadlines and extensions; these belong with your learner support, not with sales.
- Partners. Universities, professional bodies and companies asking about collaboration.
Which ASDK agents fit a training provider
ASDK is in early access. All agents answer from one knowledge baseA knowledge base is the curated set of content an AI agent is allowed to answer from, such as web pages, help articles, PDFs and FAQs, kept indexed and current. built from your website: course pages, schedules, pricing and policies.
| Agent | Status | Its job on a training site |
|---|---|---|
| Chat | Early access | Answers course, schedule, price and policy questions; suggests courses |
| Sales | Early access | Qualifies team-training inquiries and books advisor calls |
| Search | Coming soon | Answers from a large catalog instead of a list of links |
| Agent-Ready | Early access | Makes courses, dates and prices readable for AI assistants |
Chat: course fit, dates and policies
Example flow: "I'm new to project management. Which course should I take, and can I pay in installments?" Chat asks about the visitor's experience and goal, suggests the introductory course and the certification prep course that follows it, and links both, with the next start dates and the payment plan page. When the visitor asks "will I pass the exam?", it explains what the course covers, quotes any pass-rate figure only as published with its date, and avoids promises.
Sales: team training that reaches the right person
Example flow: "We need Excel training for 12 people in our finance team." Sales asks about level, team size, format (on-site or live online), timeframe and location, then offers a call with your corporate training advisor through Cal.com, Calendly or Google Calendar. The inquiry and a summary go to your team by email or Slack, and to your CRM through webhooks and Zapier or Make, so the advisor can bring a proposal outline to the call. Sales is included from the Pro plan.
Search: a catalog that answers (coming soon)
For providers with hundreds of courses, Search will replace the search box with short answers and links to the matching course pages. A query such as "evening data courses for beginners" would get the two or three courses that fit, with their next start dates, instead of a list of forty results. The guide to AI site search explains the difference.
Current learners will ask the agent things that belong to support: "I can't log in", "where is my certificate", "can I get an extension". Publish a short support page with the right contacts and links, and the agent sends them there instead of trying to help with an account it cannot see.
Agent-Ready: be visible to AI assistants
Agent-Ready hosts an llms.txtllms.txt is a proposed Markdown file at a website's root that gives AI tools a short summary of the site and links to the pages that matter most. file that points assistants to your catalog, schedules, prices and enrollment steps.
Guardrails for education and training providers
Outcomes only as published, with evidence. In 2021 the FTC sent education providers a Notice of Penalty Offenses stating that it is unfair or deceptive to misrepresent graduates' employment prospects, the jobs they qualify for, the share who found jobs, or what they will earn. The notice went to for-profit institutions, but the lesson applies to any training seller. Instruct the agent never to promise a job, a salary or an exam result, and to repeat outcome figures only as published, with their date and how they were measured.
Accreditation and credits, exactly as written. "Is the certificate accredited?" gets the exact name of the body you publish, with a link. "Will my credits transfer?" depends on the receiving institution, so the agent says so and offers an advisor.
Student records stay in your systems. FERPA protects education records at schools that receive U.S. Department of Education funds. Whether or not it covers you, the chat is not the place for grades, account details or progress reports. Send current learners to your learning platform or support desk.
Younger learners. If your programs are directed at children under 13, the FTC's COPPA rules govern collecting their personal information. Set the agent to address parents and not to ask children for contact details.
Refunds, deadlines and accommodations. Keep refund and deferral policies on one page the agent quotes from. Requests for disability accommodations go to a person.
Say it is AI. ASDK always tells visitors they are talking to an AI, and a handoffHuman handoff is when an AI agent passes a conversation to a person, with the transcript and key details, because the visitor asked or the AI reached a limit. to an advisor is one step away.
How AI assistants research training providers
A learner may ask an assistant for "a live online project management course with evening classes that prepares for the PMP exam", and an L&D manager for "a provider that runs private Excel training for finance teams". The assistant can only match you on what your pages state plainly. Make these explicit, as text:
- For each course: dates, format, duration, weekly hours, price, prerequisites and what the certificate is.
- Accreditations and exam alignments, named exactly.
- Corporate options: private cohorts, group pricing, invoicing and reporting.
- Refund and deferral policies, and how to talk to an advisor.
Course structured dataStructured data is machine-readable markup, usually schema.org terms written as JSON-LD, that states what a page describes: a product, company or article. on each course page helps assistants read these facts, as long as it matches the visible text. The free Agent Readiness Checker shows what AI agents read on your site today, and Agent-Ready keeps llms.txt current as cohorts open and close.
Where to start
Put outcome claims, accreditation wording and refund policy in order first, because the agent repeats what your pages say. Then start Chat on your catalog and pricing pages, and add Sales for team-training inquiries. Pricing shows which plan includes each agent.

Can the AI agent recommend a course?
Yes, from your own catalog. It asks about goals, experience and schedule, then suggests courses and links their pages. It should not promise outcomes such as passing an exam, getting a job or reaching a salary.
What can it say about job placement and earnings?
Only what you publish, with the date and method behind it. The FTC has warned education providers that misrepresenting graduates' employment prospects or earnings is unlawful, and a chat repeating such a claim is still your claim.
Does FERPA apply to the chat?
FERPA covers education records at schools that receive U.S. Department of Education funds. Whether or not it applies to you, keep grades, account details and student records out of the chat and send current learners to your learning platform.
Which ASDK agents are available today?
As of October 2026, Chat, Sales and Agent-Ready are in early access. Search, which suits large course catalogs, is coming soon.
