AI agents for SaaS companies
How SaaS websites can use AI agents to answer product, pricing and security questions, qualify demo requests and stay legible to buyers’ AI assistants.
What visitors ask
Questions visitors bring to websites in this industry. An agent answers them from your own pages and cites them, and offers to take the visitor’s contact details when a person should answer.
- Is there a free trial, and do I need a credit card to start it?
- What is the difference between your Pro and Business plans?
- Do you integrate with Salesforce, and does the sync go both ways?
- Do you support SSO with Okta or Microsoft Entra ID, and on which plan?
- Can I get a copy of your SOC 2 report?
- Where is our data stored, and can we keep it in the EU?
- Do you have a public API, and what are the rate limits?
- How long does onboarding usually take for a team of 50?
- Can we pay annually by invoice instead of by card?
- What happens to our data if we cancel?
- Do you offer discounts for nonprofits or early-stage startups?
- Can someone help us migrate from the tool we use now?

The guide
On this page
A SaaS website does three jobs at once: it is the sales rep, the first line of support and the front door to your documentation. Buyers expect it to answer for itself. In a June 2025 Gartner survey of 632 B2B buyers, 61% said they prefer a buying experience without a sales rep, and 69% reported inconsistencies between what a supplier's website said and what its sellers told them. A website AI agent can close some of that gap, but only if it answers from the same pages your team maintains.
Who visits a SaaS website and what they need
Visitors to a SaaS website usually fall into five groups, and each wants something different:
- Evaluators. Team leads and end users comparing features, integrations and plan limits. They want a precise answer and a link to the doc that proves it.
- Economic buyers. The person who signs. They ask about price per seat, annual billing, invoicing, discounts and what the bill looks like at 50 or 500 users.
- Security and IT reviewers. SSO and SCIM, data residency, encryption, subprocessors, a DPA, and a SOC 2 report. They usually need documents, not chat answers, and often under NDA.
- Developers. API coverage, webhooks, SDKs and rate limits. They read docs faster than any agent can summarize them, so links matter more than prose.
- Existing customers and trial users. How-to questions, billing problems and bug reports. These belong in support, not in your sales pipeline.
The pricing page, the docs and the security page carry most of the weight. If those three are clear, an agent has something solid to answer from.
Which ASDK agents fit a SaaS website
ASDK is in early access. Chat, Sales and Agent-Ready are early-access agents; Search is coming soon. All of them share one knowledge base built from your site and docs.
| Agent | Status | Its job on a SaaS site |
|---|---|---|
| Chat | Early access | Answers product and pricing questions from your pages, with links |
| Sales | Early access | Qualifies demo and enterprise requests, books meetings |
| Agent-Ready | Early access | Makes your product readable for buyers' AI assistants |
| Search | Coming soon | Answers in place of your docs search box |
Chat: answers from your docs, pricing and changelog
Example flow: a visitor on the integrations page asks, "Does the Salesforce sync push custom fields both ways?" Chat finds the integration doc, answers with the limits the doc states, and links to it. If your docs do not cover the question, it says so instead of guessing, and offers to pass the question to your team with the visitor's email. On Pro and above, the "what visitors ask" insights report turns those questions into a list of missing docs.
Sales: qualifies trial and demo requests
Example flow: a visitor on the pricing page asks whether you can handle 200 seats with SSO. Sales asks the two or three questions you wrote in plain language (team size, current tool, timeline). If the answers match your enterprise criteria, it offers a meeting through your Cal.com, Calendly or Google Calendar link and sends the lead, with the transcript, to your team and, through webhooks and Zapier or Make, to your CRM. A five-person team gets pointed to the self-serve trial instead. See how to qualify inbound leads with AI for question design.
Agent-Ready: makes the product legible to AI assistants
Example flow: a buyer asks an assistant for "project tools with SSO on a mid-tier plan". Agent-Ready publishes a hosted llms.txtllms.txt is a proposed Markdown file at a website's root that gives AI tools a short summary of the site and links to the pages that matter most. that points to your pricing, security and integrations pages, and exposes actions such as "get pricing" and "book a demo" through the widget using WebMCPWebMCP is a proposed web standard that lets a website register its own actions as structured tools that AI agents in the browser can discover and call., a W3C Community Group draft rather than a finished standard. On Pro and above, AI-agent visit analytics show which assistants read which pages.
Search (coming soon): answers in your help center
When it ships, Search will replace the docs search box with a sourced answer plus the best pages, and report searches that found nothing. For a SaaS team, that report is a ready-made docs backlog.
Guardrails that matter for SaaS
- Prices come only from the pricing page. No invented discounts, no "I can probably get you a deal". Custom quotes go to a person.
- No roadmap promises. If a feature is not documented, the honest answer is that it is not available today. Capture the request and the visitor's contact instead.
- Security claims stay within what you publish. The agent can say you support SSO if your security page says so. It should never assert a certification you do not have, and report or questionnaire requests go to your security contact.
- Support stays support. A logged-in customer with a billing problem should get your support channel, not a demo booking. The agent cannot see or change accounts, and should say so.
- Visitors know it is AI. The widget says so in its disclosure line, and a handoffHuman handoff is when an AI agent passes a conversation to a person, with the transcript and key details, because the visitor asked or the AI reached a limit. to your team is always one step away.
Most wrong answers trace back to stale pages, not to the model. Our guide to grounded answers covers how to keep the source material current.
How buyers' AI assistants research SaaS vendors
In Gartner's May 2026 release, 45% of B2B buyers surveyed said they used generative AI during a recent purchase, mainly to gather information on vendors and products. When a buyer asks for a shortlist, assistants with web search, such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, read public pages to answer, and they can only repeat what they can find and parse. OpenAI states that sites opted out of OAI-SearchBot are not shown in ChatGPT search answers, so check your robots.txt before anything else.
Expose these facts as plain text, not only inside images, tabs or pricing toggles that need JavaScript:
- Plan names, prices, billing period and what each tier includes, with seat and usage limits.
- Integrations, and how deep each one goes (native, API or via Zapier).
- Security facts: which plan includes SSO and SCIM, data regions, audit report status and how to request it.
- Trial terms: length, whether a card is required, what happens when it ends.
- Implementation time ranges, support hours and any SLA tiers.
- SoftwareApplication structured data that matches what the page shows.
An llms.txt file, as proposed at llmstxt.org, gives assistants a short map to those pages. The Agent-Ready agent keeps that file hosted and up to date, and the free Agent Readiness Checker shows what your site exposes today.
Where to start
Start with Chat on your docs, pricing and security pages, and look at what visitors ask in the first week before adding anything else. They will tell you which pages are unclear and whether demo traffic justifies the Sales agent.

Frequently asked questions
Something else? Write to hello@asdk.com
Can an AI agent answer security questions on a SaaS website?
Yes, from what you publish: SSO support, data regions, encryption, your trust page. Requests for a SOC 2 report or a full security questionnaire should go to a person, since those documents are usually shared under NDA.
Will the agent quote prices or discounts we have not published?
It should not. ASDK answers from your own content and says so when it does not know. Keep negotiated pricing off public pages and let the Sales agent route those visitors to a meeting instead.
How do AI assistants like ChatGPT learn about our product?
Mostly by searching the web and reading your public pages when a buyer asks. Plain-text pricing, docs and security pages, an llms.txt file and AI search crawlers that are allowed in robots.txt all help them describe you accurately.
Is ASDK available for SaaS websites today?
ASDK is in early access. Chat, Sales and Agent-Ready are early-access agents; Search is coming soon. The widget is added with one script tag, so it fits any marketing site that lets you add a script.
